The Madness Began Here
The "Original" Munchie Emporium Restaurant is our non-smoking dining area. This dining room was home to the first Kroger store in Ft. Wayne, and is the original dining room. This room has an eclectic feel and is decorated in antiques, odd knick-knacks, old signs, and 60's memorabilia. There is the Nixon corner containing posters, pictures and souvenirs from the 1960's Republican conventions.

One of the most noticeable features of the room is the hundreds of names of old-school loyal patrons that are hand-painted on the ceiling, put there by a local artist after their induction in an elite group known as "The Heineken Club". To become a member, you must have participated in a jovial ritual of swilling twelve Heineken beers. An asterisk by one's name indicates that you have completed this task in one sitting. I don't know how this got started, but judging by the number of names, there was no shortage of these 12 oz. green bottles. It is not uncommon to walk by customers today staring up at the ceiling pointing out their names to friends and reminiscing about initiation day.

The dining room, with it's exposed glass view onto Taylor Street, seats up to 68 people, and is a popular lunch spot for area workers and good friends. Check out our great menu!

The Brewery Room
The most recent addition, the brewery room provides a great view of the brew house, where on any given day patrons can watch Todd Grantham, Brew Master, creating the next brew. Previously a drugstore, furniture store and then deli (Finkelman's), the brewery room is where guests can enjoy live music performed by local aspiring musicians, belly up to the 20 foot long bar, or just hang out with good friends.

The dining area has a golden tee golf game, a bar top trivia game, and four televisions, although this is not your typical sports bar. To the contrary, this is a room that has a certain kind of feel to it. It has that "Cheers" feel to it. You know, where everyone knows your name. Local musicians have been known to compose songs here, and poets scribble down their thoughts while others are playing cards, all while enjoying their favorite "Mad Brew". Those who are up for a real challenge can strike up a game of chess with Michael or Larry.

Behind the bar you will notice a wall of mugs that are owned by our most loyal beer drinkers, The Mug Club. This room is wide open with two of the walls being all glass, which provides for a busy view onto the corner of Broadway and Taylor. You can order from our menu and eat at the bar or at one of the 19 tables in the dining room At the bar you can also purchase Mad Gear and our beers to go.

THE "MAD" ROOM is the private dining room characterized by the three large panes of etched glass above the entry way depicting the evolution of the current building. This area is for private parties or meetings. It is attched to the Brewery Room on the south side and seats up to 30 people for buffet style seating.
